If I host a table do I have to decorate the table?
If you don’t want to decorate your table or do not have the “stuff” to decorate your table, we have ladies to assist you. You may also want to have a friend join you with the table purchase and decorate it together.
Who supplies the "favors" for the tables?
The hostess provides the favors for the 8-10 people at her table.
How much should I pay for the favors?
Keeping the gift under $5 each is a good rule of thumb. Things the complement your theme like an ornament, a small booklet, a Christmas mug with cocoa inside are good choices.
As a table hostess, am I responsible for plates, silverware, napkins, tea cups and glassware?
Full details regarding what is provided by the JW Marriott regarding plates, goblets and silver ware will be in your Hostess Packet. We encourage you to provide all the other components of your table. If you are missing some of the required items, we will work with you. Don’t forget to ask that relative, friend or neighbor who has lots of “stuff”! Please mention your needs to your Table Hostess Captain, and she will help.
How can I get a table close to the stage?
All tables are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. While you will not be able to select a specific table, those who register early will be placed closer to the stage.
I want my table to be next to my friend's table — can we do that?
We cannot guarantee table placement. Two things to keep in mind: tables are sold in order, on a first-come, first-served basis. If you both buy your table at the same time, it is likely you will be placed next to each other.
I cannot host an entire table, but I would like to bring a friend. How can I do that?
We will have open seating registration after hostess registration. You will be able to purchase tickets for you and your friend at that time.
What if I buy a table but can’t sell or give away all my tickets?
We have created a Facebook page which will allow you to trade unused seats. Click HERE to be taken to the wall page. This is to be used at your own discretion; event planners will not be involved. If by the day of the event, you have not found a trade, we may be able to sell your extra tickets at the door.
Can I make payments towards a table?
If you are buying a full table, we can allow you to make payments. The first half will be due when you sign up and the balance will be due at the hostess workshop on November 13th. We cannot offer multiple payments when buying a half table.
I don’t think I can fill a half table but would like to decorate a table. How can I help?
You can host an open seating table. In this case you will pre-purchase your own seat (and perhaps one or two more if you would like) and then we will assign new friends from the open seating registration to join you. You will be responsible for decorating the table and providing the favor for all 8-10 guests.
Can my friend who doesn't go to CBCC host a table?
Yes! Encourage her to register online beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20th. If she is not able to register online and is unable to come to CBCC on a Sunday morning to buy her table, then you may buy it on her behalf. You may bring a check she has written, or she may reimburse you for the cost.
Can I decorate a table without hosting the table?
There most likely will be some open seating tables that will need to be decorated. Please stop by the women’s ministry table to let us know you would like to decorate should there be one available.
